May 17, 2021, KAIST signed a business agreement to establish space research center with Space Hub, which oversees Hanwha's space industry.
It's the largest space research center in Korea, which established by private company and university. Hanwha promised to invest 10 billion-won to the center which will be setted up under the direct control of KAIST Vice President for R&DB.
Agreement was made in KAIST, attended by President of KAIST, Vice President for R&DB, and three Presidents of Hanwha Corperation, Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha System.
